Mcdonalds is entering the personalization tech world – with a first buy in more than 20 years

March 26, 2019. For the first time in 20 years, Mcdonalds have made a significant move in buying the personalization tech company – Dynamic Yield, for more than 300M$. The Israeli start up has developed a platform that is that is meant to help Marketers increase their revenue by automatically matching data sets from different environments. The company was started in 2012 by Liad Agmon, Omeri Mendelovich and is currently employing 180 people, 100 of which are based in Israel.

The move by Mcdonalds is meant to deliver an enhanced personalized experience to their customers. This will enable them to bring greater value in the customer journey and is yet another step to greater growth in an ever digitized world.
